Frozen Shoulder: Laser Treatment Guidelines
Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is a common cause of pain and dysfunction in people affecting activities of daily living, work, and sports. As shoulder pain increases with use, patients tend to limit joint activity leading to shoulder tissue and joint capsule “freeze”. Unfortunately, adhesive capsulitis rate is getting worse: it has increased more than 45% over the past 20 years.
Learn how therapeutic lasers are used to treat the frozen shoulder and joint structures for pain relief, reduction of inflammation and tissue healing. Additionally, we’ll briefly discuss how lasers can be used in conjunction with other interventions such as TENS, ultrasound, PRP, and prolotherapy.
